In Scotland a bothy is known as a small hut or cottage, originally one for housing farm labourers or for use as a mountain refuge. They are scattered throughout the Highlands and are still used to this day. Delny Glamping has created their own version of the Bothy. Muckle is a Scottish word for Large which is why this bothy has been named the Muckle Bothy. Housing up to 6 persons with a en-suite, small fridge, in door seating area, private decking with seating, fire pit, tea/coffee facilities and flat screen tv, it’s certainly a more glamourous adaptation of the original style bothy.
