Terms & Conditions

By placing a booking with us (the property owner / his / her representative) you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay, you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking. 

BOOKING

To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 18 years of age.

Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. 

Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance, this deposit amount is 10% of the value of the booking which is non-refundable.

Deposit payments must be ‘cleared funds’ before a booking can be confirmed.

Payments can be made online using debit or credit cards.

The guest agrees to pay the full cost due to negligence causing loss or damage to the accommodation, equipment or any outside furniture.

DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL & OTHER KEY POINT

We accept one night stays up to full weeks. The check-in time is from 4pm to 9pm and the checkout time is between 6am to 10am.

The accommodation is to be used for holiday purposes only and by the persons named on the booking form only.

Electricity, water, bed linen, towels, wi-fi (limited) and Free Sat TV. A full inventory of furnishings and equipment available on request.

We reserve the right to refuse a booking or to repossess any of the accommodations where damage has been caused or, in our opinion, is likely to be caused by the hirer or a member of the hirer’s party.

Vehicles and their accessories and contents are left at their owners risk.

We reserve the right to enter the accommodation at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs etc.

Guests are requested to stay within the grounds of Delny House, Delny Glamping. The surrounding outbuildings must not be entered.

CANCELLATION, RETURNED DEPOSIT & NON-ARRIVAL CONDITIONS

Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations fees are charged as outlined within the booking confirmation provided for each successful booking.

If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. If the booking is cancelled 14 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made.

Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit their monies paid. 

It is suggested that booking guests take out appropriate holiday / cancellation insurance where required.

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

DAMAGES AND LOSS DEPOSIT

All persons booking with us must be prepared to pay for any damages caused by them.  

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party, the monies will be taken from the bank card used to pay the deposit. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a replacement charge per key lost.

Clothing/ bedding/ material must not be hung over any radiator/heater or tv. Where applicable nothing should be hung over or near the wood burner. (See log burner rules for further information)

Allowing dogs into non-dog friendly accommodation (Whisky Barrels & Auld Reekie) will result in an intensive cleaning charge of £100.

Additional guests are not allowed within any of the accommodations nor the hot tub by the Auld Reekie..

LOST PROPERTY

Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.

WIFI FAIR & APPROPRIATE USAGE POLICY

We offer as a service to our guest free wifi access, we live in a remote area and wifi is supplied via a satellite link and as such can be limited.  Guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. The Internet access provided is intended for light, general use such as access to the internet, email, messaging, social media e.g. facebook etc. It is not intended nor suitable for media streaming, videos, online gaming, downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests.

BEDDING & TOWELS

Bedding and towels are provided within the tariff.  

SMOKING / NAKED FLAMES / BBQ’S

Smoking of any product including but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars or chewing tobacco is not allowed within any of the accommodations, in the doorway or on the decking at any time. Guests are free to smoke outside away from any accommodation and we provide plant pot ashtrays in the grounds for spent cigarettes. We will make a charge of £350 for intensive cleaning if there has been any smoking inside the property, in the open doorway or on the decking during your stay. We also reserve the right to curtail your booking, with no refund, if you smoke in any accommodation or open doorway.

No naked flames, candles, joss sticks, fireworks (Internal & External) and gas stoves are permitted inside any of the accommodations. Gas stoves are permitted well away from the accommodation using the provided bbq/fire pit to support it. 

BBQ’s must not be used on the wooden decking area (even if on a stand) we ask they are used well away from the accommodation. BBQ’s are never to be left unattended and must be extinguished after use.

HOT TUB

No glass is allowed to be used in and around the hot tub.

Great care needs to be taken when using due to risk of injury (see separate hot tub rules

AULD REEKIE – LOG BURNER

Only fuel purchased at Delny Glamping can be used in the log burner .

The cost of electricity, electric heating, hot water and starter pack of wood fuel is included in the rental price.

The log burner in the Auld Reekie is a bespoke size and standard logs may not fit in the basket.

We also need to control what is burnt and goes up the flue (‘wet’ fuel can damage the flue). Please DO NOT burn your own fuel in this stove. We provide a free basket of fuel, kindling and eco firelighters/easy light log. Additional fuel can be purchased as required. Only seasoned logs purchased from Delny Glamping should be burned in the stove. 

The Auld Reekie has electric heaters for use if the log burner is not required/ wanted.

Clothing or material of any kind must never be hung or dried next to or on the log burner as this represents a significant fire risk. Storage for clothes etc. is available using the clothes hooks/rail behind the front door and under the bed.

PETS / SERVICE DOGS

We allow 1 large dog or 2 small dogs within either the Wee Bothies or Muckle Bothies on a prior agreement at booking (see separate dog policy for further info)

PRIVACY POLICY

We take your privacy very seriously. Please see Delny Glamping Privacy Policy regarding any data we collect directly from you. We use Freetobook to manage our online booking process. We have a written contract with Freetobook to ensure that they will process your data on our behalf in compliance with all applicable Data Protection Laws.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITY 

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners. To avoid noise issues we ask the Hot Tub is not used after 10pm.

Please keep the accommodation secure when unoccupied and return the key to the main house reception prior to leaving.

PARKING

Where on-site parking is provided guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

ACCESS

The property owner, his/her representative, must be allowed access to the accommodation at any reasonable time for essential maintenance and to service the hot tub. Wherever possible prior arrangements will be made.

LIABILITIES

No liability is accepted in respect of loss or damage to the client or any member of the party, their baggage, car or contents, resulting from riot, war, strikes, adverse weather conditions or sickness or injury or for loss or damage by a third party. This does not exclude liability for the actions of employees, agents or subcontractors of ours as the accommodation owners. We strongly recommend that you take out your own holiday insurance cover

The contract of let is between the hirer and Delny Glamping the owner of the accommodation.

ISSUES/ COMPLAINTS

We want you to have a fabulous time during your stay, any concerns or issues we ask you to raise them as soon as possible and we shall endeavour to make every effort to rectify any faults or make repairs to equipment as soon as possible. However, we cannot be held responsible for any such breakdowns or loss.
