We invite all our guests to meet the Delny animal crew
Enjoy watching our dazzling array of chickens, ducks and of course our friendly Pygmy goats Tina and Cher.
Its worth noting! A few of the birds wonder the grounds surrounding the animal pen so may provide a friendly greeting when you arrive! For this reason we ask all dogs are kept on leads.
The main animal pen is shared with 3 Kune Kune pig sisters, Amy Swinehouse, Beatrix Trotter and Lindsay Loham. The boss of the Pen is Kevin Bacon, Kev is a cross Pot belly pig / Kune Kune.
A short distance away is the “Paddock” home to the friendliest sheep in the world!! Ian, Alison and Claire (random names but somehow fits) Ian is a Valais Black nosed sheep and loves a belly scratch! Sisters, Alison and Claire are cross Valais and Texel. These beautiful ladies often peer through the fence hoping for a nose scratch.
The paddock is also home to our “Trotter Brothers” Del-Boy and Rodney! Miniature Shetland ponies! Full of character and charm!
Animal feed bags are sold for 50p in the reception. The feed can be thrown into the main animal pen for the chickens, ducks, pigs and pygmy goats to enjoy (not for the ponies). Ask a member of the Delny team for more info.

Indian Runner ducks
Our Indian runners are a strong little unit, sticking together following each other around their enclosure. Perfectly white, standing tall this set of ducks are a sight to behold.
The Hens
We have a wonderful variety of chickens to catch your eye. They share their enclosure with the two pygmy goats and one pot-bellied pig but certainly rule the roost. When you arrive see if you can spot the types of chickens we have. Do your very own bird watching and spot any of the following;

Pygmy Goats
Our troublesome twosome definitely won’t be missed. Even their names scream out character.
Tina and Cher our beautiful pygmy goats are always on hand if you’re needing a goat snuggle.
Muscovy Ducks
The Muscovy ducks are a unique and intriguing breed, they are not frequent “layers” but when they do you are amazed with the size of their extra-large eggs. In 2019 one of our lovely ladies had 3 ducklings, 2 of the boys are now young men and rule their flock with their Dad.
Kevin Bacon
LASTLY but by all means not least, we have Kevin Bacon our resident potbelly pig. Our magnificent, clever and adorable friend will certainly not be on anyones dinner table.
He exists at Delny to add a certain ‘Je ne sais quoi’ to your Delny Glamping experience that our guests will Remember for a lifetime.
