This blog outlines the control measures and protocols being adopted at Delny Glamping and actions for guests to take during their stay at Delny Glamping. The measures and protocols was prepared by the owners Paul and Claire. Paul is a chartered health & safety consultant and Claire is a registered nurse trained in infection control so both are well trained in managing the risks relating to Covid-19.
Checking In
- On arrival please ring the doorbell at the main house or call 07714432292 to inform a member of the Delny team that you have arrived.
- There will be no check-in forms to complete, once you have given your name, your key will be collected and you will be shown to your accommodation.
- Please maintain a safe distance from the Delny team member whilst being shown to your accommodation.
- If you arrive and can see others at the reception, please either wait until the area is clear or call 07714432292.
- Check-in is from 4pm, please do not arrive any earlier than this unless previously organised by the owners.
Your Accommodation
- Hand soap is provided in each accommodation. Warm water and soap is the best method for cleaning your hands. Please wash your hands once your first enter your accommodation and thereafter on a regular basis.
- A member of the Delny team will discuss how everything works in your accommodation and where to find everything.
- Please be rest assured all items of cutlery, plates and other items in your accommodation will be suitably cleaned using government advice and guidance. Please see our cleaning protocols below for further details.
Shared Spaces
- BBQ Hut – please ensure this space is only shared with people from your group.
- The wash station – 2 people maximum are permitted from the same group in this space. If you are waiting to use the wash station, please wait outside at least 2 meters from the entrance.
- Reception – Please call a member of the Delny team on 07714432292 or ring the doorbell. Please do not approach the reception if other guests are present.
Social Distancing
- As per the government guidelines please ensure a 2 meter gap is maintained from all persons on site.
Breakfast
- If you have decided to take breakfast this will be delivered at your requested time. A member of the team will knock on your door and leave the breakfast hamper on your outside table or doorstep. If the weather isn’t on our side and it’s raining please ensure you collect your box as soon as possible so your breakfast isn’t ruined.
Cleaning Protocols
- Additional cleaning measures have been implemented as per guidelines provided by the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers.
- The housekeepers at Delny Glamping follow a strict cleaning checklist to ensure no items are forgotten during the cleaning and turnover process.
- We confirm with our housekeepers on a daily basis if any signs or symptoms are being experienced. All housekeepers must wash their hands on entering the site and throughout their shift to maintain good levels of hygiene.
- All of our linen is provided by an external provider who clean all of their linen on a hot wash. Linen is provided to us clean before being used.
- All towels and bathmats are cleaned at 60 degrees and tumble dried
- Following each departure all plates, cups, bowls, cutlery, lids, fridges and other kitchen items will be removed from your accommodation and suitably cleaned with hot soapy water.
- High contact areas, doorknobs and handles will be cleaned and disinfected.
Payments
- Our preferred method of payment is card.
- Cash will be accepted but not reused. Cash will be paid directly into the bank.
- Refunds will be processed via BACs transfers.
Checking out
- Please open windows prior to leaving your accommodation so it can be well ventilated.
- Guests are asked to either leave their key in their accommodation or post it through the letter box at the main house.
